‘Star’ was originally released in 2014 and it was the first single on my second LP called ‘The Blue Album.’ This is a previously unreleased music video. It was directed and edited by @JoeNation_. When my album came out, I ended up releasing the remix video instead but when I came across this archived version I knew that I had to share it. The song is about never giving up on your dreams or your talent.
I have had one dream and one goal since I was a child, to be the greatest entertainer alive. At various times in my life I have achieved the thrill of performing in front of massive audiences. I live for that thrill. No matter what people may say about me, they can’t take away my talent. It’s the talent that Michael Jackson saw when he signed me to his label, it’s the talent Madonna saw when she later signed me to her Maverick label and put us on tour with Britney Spears, It’s the talent I have to shock with my bold fashion at the GRAMMYS, and produce a viral parody song that ended up on FOX news, etc. I never stop. I never give up. Your talent is a gift. You are not responsible for how others receive that gift, it is only your responsibility to share it.
